きたーーー！🎉 GCP で cron 的なことしようと思ったら GAE の cron 機能を使うしかなかったので GAE で http アプリを作る必要がありましたが、Cloud Scheduler で不要になります！ App Engine に HTTP リクエストを送る、その他に HTTP リクエストを送る、Pub/Sub のメッセージを送る、が可能です。

Kubernetes Engine – Container-Optimized OS with containerd: beta

Docker を使わず直接 containerd と CRI でやりとりするってやつですかね。リソース節約できてオーバーヘッド減るってやつかな。

kaniko とかともあわせて脱 Docker が進んでいきそうですね。

Compute Engine – detachable boot disks for VM instances: beta

Now you can detach boot disks from VM instances. This allows you to mount a boot disk to another VM instance to simplify the repair process, or replace boot disks without having to recreate an entire VM instance. Documentation

ほー。起動している VM のブートディスクに他の VM からアタッチできるようになるってことか(read only だとは思うけど)。 インスタンス作り直さざるを得ない変更でも Boot ディスク引き継げるようになるのはよさそう。 VM 再作成せずにブートディスク入れ替えるってのはメリットがよくわからんな

Compute Engine – Private Google Access for Windows Server instances: GA

Query statistics in Cloud Spanner: GA

Now you can view summary statistics for queries that had the highest total CPU usage within a Cloud Spanner database. The statistics include execution count, average latency, average CPU seconds during a recent period of time, and more. Documentation

Spanner 使ってみたくて料金調べたけど、個人で使えるような額じゃないですね。。。

Cloud Source Repositories – Cloud Pub/Sub Notifications: GA
